Head Instructor:

This will be Jenny Hough's 6th year as a full time instructor. After joining the program at age 8, she has moved through the ranks and currently is the Head Instructor for the Sailing Program. She has just graduated from Union College, majoring in both mathematics and classics. She will be attending graduate school at Northeastern University, in Boston Massachusetts, to get her Masters in Teaching, aiming for certification in the secondary schools.

Racing Instructor:

Lauren Cotta Lauren has just completed her sophomore year at Salve Regina where she is a member of the racing team. She has two years of experience teaching sailors at both the Community Boating Center in Providence and the Edgewood Sailing School in Cranston. Lauren is from Pawtucket and summers in LC.

 Sailing Instructor Staff:

Matt DelSesto has sailed at SYC since age nine, working his way up the ranks from Junior Instructor to Sailing Instructor last summer.  He recently graduated from high school in Barrington, RI and will be attending Boston  College in the fall.  When not sailing, Matt can be found on a tennis court.  This past year he captained his high school team and taught tennis to Boston youth through the Tenacity Program.

William "Woody" Cissel has sailed SYC boats in every capacity from nine year old beginner to Junior Instructor last year. He has just completed his junior year of high school at Brooks School in North Andover, MA. When he is not sailing in Little Compton he is usually surfing with the rest of his family.

David "Oz" Osborn started sailing at 9 years old at SYC and last year was a junior instructor. He is a rising senior at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts where he enjoys football and lacrosse. Here in Little Compton he can often be found surfing or fishing.

Patrick "Flash" Power also returns to SYC after being a junior instructor last year. Patrick is a student at Upper Canada College in Toronto, Canada. He enjoys wiffle ball with his three brothers and plays soccer, basketball and baseball on school teams.

Zack Simon, another SYC ³lifer² is also stepping up from Junior Instructor last year to Instructor this summer. Zack is a 17 year old rising senior at St. Sebastian¹s in Needham, Massachusetts where he is on the soccer and wrestling teams.
